Card Set

This is the latest card set I have been working on. I was going for the old fashioned frilly look. They turned out pretty good. I am still working on the pouch to put them in. I should have that done later this afternoon. Then I really need to get back to the Key West Album before all the particulars disappear from my mind. That seems to happen faster than I care to admit. Enjoy!

Enough

I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright no matter how gray the day may appear. I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun even more. I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive and everlasting. I wish you enough pain so that even the smallest of joys in life may appear bigger. I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting. I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess. I wish you enough hellos to get you through the final good-bye.

A New Creation

This is a note card set that I created for a lady at work. She ordered it for her 17 year old daughter. She said it needed to be bright colors and "groovy" as opposed to frilly & lacey. I hope this fills the bill for her, do you think she'll like them? There are 2 each of 3 different designs plus the box. Hey, I think, I figured out what order to post these in so they come out right, good job Jody, lol!!!
This is the box that they all go in, didn't it turn out cute?

July 2009 Tea Party in Dunedin

Note Card Set

Here is a set of note cards that I have been working on. I made the box pattern from one that I already had.
These are the cards that go inside. The stamps and inks are CTMH, the paper is MM-Emma and I used a couple of different punches and then used the negative for inking. Let me apologize now for the spacing and such, I'm new at this and don't know exactly how to get my wording going the same direction as the pictures. And my daughter is not here to help me, lol! I will have these available for purchase in my etsy shop as soon as I get that done. I will also take some down to the local tea cottage and put them in her little gift shop.
Speaking of tea cottage, we visited a pretty cute one today. It was in Dunedin. It was called Moffat's Cup of Tea. The food was really good but the place was really small. There was just enough room for two reservation parties, one for six and one for nine, and then the waitress was trying to squeeze in between chairs to get around in there. It was really cute inside though. I'll post a couple of those pictures in another post so they don't get mixed up with these, lol.

Stuff

Well I'm glad that's over. My computer caught a virus. The security suite I have didn't have a patch for the newest virus that came out until yesterday late afternoon. Had to wait to get the update and then scan the computer again. That was a pain in the butt!! Have been working on some "note card" sets. They are turning out so cute. They will be available for purchase on my etsy.com when I get that set up but in the mean time I will take some of them to the local tea cottage and see what happens. We will be having our monthly tea party tomorrow. It is in Dunedin this month, quite a drive for me, but I'm sure it will be well worth the trip. Anxious to see what this tea cottage has in store for us. The food is always delictable but it's the atmosphere and the company that make it the most. I really enjoy these ladies and the times we share. They have been a god send to me since my chemo treatments. I'll post a picture hopefully tomorrow of the "note card" sets. They sure are cute. Hope you have a great evening!!

Sad News

It's a sad day in our neighborhood today. My grandmother passed away this morning about 9 a.m. She had been in and out of the hospital for quite some time now so we all knew it was coming, just doesn't make it any easier. She was 102 on her last birthday which was June 16. She lived a good long life. Good-bye for now grandma, may you rest in peace, we love you!!!

Another Key West Layout

Here is another layout for my Key West Album. I just love how all the colors match the papers that I purchased. I actually purchased the papers about a year ago. The lady that sold me the papers suggested that I wear clothing that will match the papers and so I did. When I went shopping for new clothes for the trip, I purchased all clothing in the colors that matched the papers. Pretty funny, hugh? Now do you know anyone else that does that? Most people match the paper to the colors that are in the photo. My sisters and my daughter just laugh at me. Oh well, I had the opportunity to do it that way, so I jumped on it. The squigglies were inspired by, I think, her name was Kelly Marshall. She made a 4th of July card and put some on there and called them sparklers. I duplicated her idea with these, I thought they looked so cute. The black butterflies are velvet iron-ons that I had in my stash and I added some stickles around the page just for a good measure. Gotta love those stickles!!!

More Key West Scrapbook

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July. I went to the parade even though it was so hot. I took my umbrella, my chair, my fan and a cute little collaspable waterproof cooler that my daughter got at her work. I tried to get a spot under a tree but most of them were taken by the time I got there, oh well, I had my umbrella. It was lots of fun, took a bunch of pictures. Some of the kids were so cute. I've kinda gotten out of the children mode as my daughter is grown now but some of those little ones looked so cute in their 4th of July attire. Checked out the fireworks after dark just from the complex that I live in. Anyway, here is another 2 page layout from the Key West Scrapbook. I used some old slide frames to make the diamonds. I took them apart and took out the negative that was inside. Then I covered each one in a matching paper and put some bling on them. Thought they turned out pretty cool lookin'. Well, I'm off to put some finishing touches on the next layout and throw in some laundry. Hope you have a great Sunday. Thanks for looking!!!

Key West Scrapbook

This is the Key West Album that I have been working on. My sisters and I and a couple of girlfriends went to Key West for my 50th Birthday the middle of May. We had a blast. We stayed in the cutest cottage a half block off of Duval Street. I have about half the album done and will post some of the pages as I get them done. It will be a great memory album for me.

First Attempt

This is my first attempt at blogging so bare with me. My daughter helped me set it up, well she did it, I just narrated, lol. Here's to blogging!!!
