My Guest

I didn't get to finish the last post. Blogger and my computer were not getting along. This is a picture of my Memorial Day weekend guest. His name is Buddy. He is a daschund/beagle mix. He belongs to my daughter Miranda and her boyfriend Patrick. They had planned a camping trip for the weekend and Patrick's dad was supposed to watch him but something came up and he wasn't able to do that so they called on me. I wasn't going to be doing much over the weekend so I told them to bring him over, we'd hang out together. We did just that. He is a good little puppy, about 9 months old. They have trained him well and he listens pretty good. I'm not much of an animal lover but I enjoyed having him for the weekend. Hope your Memorial Day weekend was most enjoyable too.

Memorial Day Weekend

I had a guest over the weekend. We took a little drive down to the Hillsborough River State Park. It's a pretty cool place. Here are a few shots of the park. Can you spot the turtle sunning himself on a tree trunk? It's only about 30 minutes from my house and it's a great place for nature walks, camping, swimming (there's a public pool there too).

Wow, it's certainly been a long time since I have posted anything. The move was very hard on me this time and I'm not done yet but have decided that I need a break from it. And when you live alone, no one else cares, YEAH!!!!!!!! I have done some minimal remodeling, more to come, but later. I do have most of my scrapbook room out of boxes now and ready for use, just have to get the mood going again, I guess. Had a little family trauma while I was away also. My little brother and his wife lost a newborn on Mother's Day. It was very very sad and they are having a really tough time with the loss. They live far away from me so I don't get to see them but have communicated over the phones, etc. All my thoughts and prayers go out to them. I know only time heals those kinds of wounds but it seems so unfair. They are great parents to the 3 year boy that they already had and I know they would have done even better with the new one. He is in heaven now with his grandmother. My little sister went to heaven years ago and this would have been her second grandson. I'm sure she is very pleased to be able to be the one who gets to look after little "Beau". May they both rest in peace. We Love You both!! Hugs, ~Jody
