Message Board

I hope my little sister doesn't follow my blog, she'll know what she's getting for her birthday before it gets to her, lol. This is the message board I made for her. It supposedly will match her kitchen colors. I hope she likes it. It turned out pretty cute. I like it better with the "bling" on it. I even made magnets (out of chipboard) to match. I was going to go to the gym now that I was done with this but it has just started pouring rain, maybe I'll hold off for a little while longer. Good excuse for not going to the gym, hugh?? That little storm is headed for the panhandle and my nephew is coming our way through Atlanta, GA this afternoon. I have been following him on facebook but he only reads it at night when he's in the motel. I hope he is keeping an eye to the sky. Say a prayer for his safety!!!

More Key West Album pages

Here are the latest pages in the Key West Album. Have space for 7 more pages and will probably have close to that in photos left. I am pleased with how they are turning out. Hope you like them too!!

Riverview Brunch Bunch

I joined a new group on Meetup.com a month or so ago. They are a group of ladies in their 40's and up that like to get together for Sunday Brunch or Lunch once a month. Tonight we went to the Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse. It was a wonderful experience, we had such a great time. The chef that cooked our food (right in front of you) was so entertaining, he had us all laughing and what not. We had a great time and the food was fabulous.

Another Day/Another Dollar

My boss told me today, that's another penny, not a dollar, ain't that the truth. Just got back from the gym. That water feels so good, and I feel so good after my workout, wish I knew why it takes and act of congress to get me there. It really makes me feel better all around. I think maybe it's because I would rather be here in my little craft haven playing with paper, lol. Have been making some more note card sets, a lady at work ordered another set and while I was making hers, I remembered I have a sister that has a birthday this month, maybe she would like one of those. She's an avid scrapbooker and card maker as well, so she might just like the idea. I made her a set last night. I have to finish the box they go in so when I'm finished, I'll post some pictures of it. I may make her one of those memo boards also. The ones they are making out of a cookie sheet. Will have to find some really cute magnets to put on it. Will check that out this weekend. Well, better get at that box. Hope this finds you well and happy!!

Silverware Wind Chimes

Hello again! Sorry I haven't been around for a while. Have been dealing with a couple of personal family issues. Everything seems to be under control for now so I have begun creating again. I saw some of these silverware wind chimes at a shop over in St. Pete a while back and wanted to try my hand at it. 'Viola', it turned out pretty cute, don't ya think? I made it red and gold to match my deck cushions. I used an old three tiered serving plate that I got at a garage sale one day and never used for it's intended purpose because it doesn't match my china, lol, I'm such the matchy, matchy person. Anyway, I took it all apart and cut the handle down, drilled some holes in some silverware and strung some beads around it. Took me about 12 hours all together but it turned out so cool that I think I will make a couple for Christmas presents. It's just around the corner ya know. Hope this finds you well and happy.
